perhaps thats the reason most of our famous film stars hurried to set up their own blogs - its another matter altogether that some of them also hired proxies (ghosts) to do the actual blogging for them :-)

Thank you, Mr Murli. I found in this place a profile of perseverance, and devotion of a single family to the completion of the farmland shrine.

New Delhi-based Journalists those days belonged to two distinct classes ...

has this distinction blurred in the current times?

or do we have more of the first kind?

but it was great to see and hear Mrs. Gandhi on the TV...

she was a decisive leader and maybe if fate had allowed her to stay longer, India would have had a mellowed and seasoned leader who would have taken India to better heights...

Shocking. As far as I know, only three passengers are allowed in an auto. The police cannot avoid the responsibility for permitting overcrowding. Box 3-wheelers are meant to carry goods and not people.

Yes, although there have not been any separate TV channels on farming, some regional channels allot daily thirty minutes for information on farming.Among them are DD channels, ETV Kannada and Telugu , and I am sure in other languages also. The regional centres of All India Radio have been doing this for years.
You post was indeed quite interesting and informative.,Regads krishna vattam

That is a good initiative. I wish I had this concept during my school days. It's definitely a good step towards learning and developing. Kudos!

Mercifully, I retired years before they invented the ad.flaps. I reckon the credit for bringing down media's Berlin wall, between the editorial and response (ad.) departments must go to TOI. Its resident editors are editorial heads of 'regional markets'. Brand manager calls the shots.

Apt quote from Naren.

I used to get furious when whole features were disturbed to accommodate last minute ads in our neighbourhood newspaper, but being free, we needed the revenue. But it irked me that we had to redo the page. Truth is , no ads no revenue - the Hindu shamelessly cut its price by a Rupee on its Chennai edition when TOI hit the stands in Chennai.

Most people skip ads anyway
